ronnie & joe
breed: Cocker Spaniel.
age: 2 & 3/4.
favourite treat: Anything and everything.
favourite cuddles: Belly scratches.
favourite game: Fetch.
what gets their tail wagging most? New people, dinner, tennis balls, birds, the wind, socks, slippers.... How long is the list allowed to be!
what job do ronnie and joe do? Software engineer for a Canadian real estate firm.
what was his first day in the office like? Over excited about the commute on the train and assuming that every human must find him as cute as I do! A strange walk through a city park (countryside dog through and through) and then an exciting treat filled day in the office.
how often does ronnie go to the office? Commutes everyday on the train from Taunton. Regular train goers now know to come and say hello.
what is his favourite thing to do in the office? Help with office golf! He is the chief ball retriever/eater.
does ronnie like sharing his office space? He would love to share an office as he loves to play with other dogs but it’s just him at the minute. That does mean all the toys and love are only given to him which I’m sure he’s not mad about!
other than you (of course) who is ronnies favourite colleague? The boss - Matt, and his lovely wife - Liv. They pretty much treat him as if he was theirs. Dog toys and squishy beds galore.
how has having ronnie at work improved the working environment? Regular pup snuggle breaks, making sure I go outside for breaks and away from the computer. It will be too easy to lock ourselves away for hours looking at a screen but he helps us reset and take a break.
does ronnie ever get up to mischief/any embarrassing office stories? All the time! Main highlights are destroying/squeaking toys on important client calls as well an occasional conference call fart! Makes for an interesting discussion.
paws in home bonus question! how is ronnie coping with the UK on lockdown? Loving life! He’s got both Becca and I at home full time so double love and treats! The one allocated walk (around the empty fields) has got longer as well as we’re cherishing the outside more!
