Paws in work came about due to our deep understanding of how spending time with dogs can improve a person’s wellbeing. It’s something our founder, Ash discovered himself when he sadly lost his mother to cancer. During one of the lowest periods in his life, it was his dog who helped him through, giving his day structure and an escape which felt like therapy in itself.
Then again when his son was born, he experienced mental health struggles. Ash had always considered himself a stable and grounded person and so it made him realise that anyone can suffer from mental ill-health. These experiences made him determined to find a solution; something designed to pull people away from their desks, regardless of how busy their day was looking.
“Paws in Work began with a simple goal in mind, to create a better life for people and pups.”- Ash Fry, Founder
Playing with puppies is scientifically proven to lower cortisol and greatly reduce blood pressure. Add to this the benefit of being able to socialise puppies in a suitable and safe environment, we felt that we were on to a great concept that had the potential to make a huge impact on employee mental health in the UK workplace.
We are proud to be the only company in the UK fully licensed to deliver our puppy therapy events, and we’ve worked with some of the UK’s most knowledgeable trainers and behaviourists. In fact, you will find that we’ve carefully crafted all elements of your experience, whether that’s the safety and execution of our events, or the thorough planning and seamless enrollment of our Mental Health training.
Happy staff lead to productive staff which helps longevity and improves work culture, yielding better results. Our events and training services are designed to improve staff wellbeing, combat stress and encourage team bonding.
Our bespoke events are delivered in the most creative of ways, guaranteed to leave staff feeling refreshed, re-focussed and re-energised, ready to return and execute their best work.
