what gets their tail wagging most? Coming home – Derrick can see us through the window, and he gets extremely excited for those long-awaited kisses and cuddles!
what job do derrick and becca do? Becca is a Digital Marketing Executive for Lucid Support Services, IT Recruitment Consultancy based in Milton Keynes and Derrick is my Pupsecutive Support.
what was their first day in the office like? Derrick is a WFH doggo. However, he is brilliant at being punctual and keeping quiet when I am on my important work meetings. He’s asleep most of the time but sometimes likes to make an appearance if he’s feeling left out of conversation!
how often does derrick go to the office? Working from home means Derrick doesn’t go into an office. However, he is with me 24/7 and loves all the one-on-one attention he gets from me.
what is derrick’s favourite thing to do in the office? He enjoys napping on my laptop keys which makes writing content and emails quite tricky, but you can never be mad at that face – he’s too adorable!
does derrick like sharing his office space? Not a chance! Derrick is the king of his office space. He does love hoomans though so may make an exception if he needs to in the future. At the moment, our team of 2 is enough for Derrick.
other than you (of course) who is derrick's favourite colleague? Probably his sister, Holly. When we were all WFH during lockdown, he would take it in turns to sit with either of us and scam us out of getting him treats all the time. He was a great WFH buddy though so we can’t fault his efforts!
how has having derrick at work improved the working environment? Derrick is great at brightening up my mood. During a long a stressful day, I take a couple 5-minute breaks to have a cuddle with Derrick and it makes me super happy. He also knows that 5:30pm is dinner time so I must stop working at that time to give him his dinner and lots of attention!
does derrick ever get up to mischief/any embarrassing office stories? YES! Derrick is a very loud snorer, so when I am on meetings, unless I’m talking, I always have to stay on mute otherwise all you will hear is the zzzzz’s coming from Del Boy. He likes to take my pens sometimes too, which isn’t so helpful when I have to write lots of notes lol!
paws in home bonus question! how is derrick coping with the UK on lockdown? Derrick has absolutely loved the UK lockdown. Unlike hoomans, Derrick has adored us all being at home because it means he gets extra cuddles, extra attention, extra treats, and even more extra loves. Being able to work from home has also meant Derrick gets to go out on more walks which he loves!
