The Role
Job Title: Social Media Executive
Reports to: CEO
Contract Type: Part-Time 20 hours per week
Wage: £15,000 PA
Location: Remote with access to London events for content capture
Core Hours: 9M - 5PM

Paws in Work are a specialist Puppy Therapy and Mental Health Training start-up that works with corporate clients to improve wellbeing within their workplace. We are the only licensed Puppy Therapy company in the UK and offer MHFA England accredited and bespoke mental health training courses and talks.

The Social Media Executive Role
As a Paws in Work Social Media Exec, you will be responsible for the maintenance of our awesome social channels whilst coming up with new and engaging content to wow our followers. A keen eye for detail and full ownership of processes is key for this position, being trusted with post times, analytic reporting and spotting emerging trends across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok.
Don’t worry if you haven’t worked with dogs before - we're looking for someone who oozes creativity and can self-manage their workload to meet tight deadlines and ensure great quality whilst juggling multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute social media strategies to increase brand awareness, follower growth, and engagement.
- Responsible for the scheduling of posts on Hootsuite and the production of content across our social media channels - Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter.
- Create engaging, and on-brand content, including: Feed posts, reels, stories, and videos.
- Proficiency in content creation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva to create social media content that reflects Paws in Work’s brand guidelines and tone of voice.
- Creating and capturing engaging, shareable content during our puppy therapy events to showcase the experience and connect with our audience.
- Ensure that we’re agile and reactive to emerging trends to enable us to be innovative and promote the growth of our channels.
- Fostering and growing an engaged online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions promptly.
- Work with the Sales and Puppy Welfare team on posts and social campaigns to promote awareness and help generate leads for our services for both puppy therapy and mental health training courses/ masterclasses.
- Strong copywriting skills with the ability to craft engaging, on-brand captions.
- Ensure monthly analytics and reporting that can be used to inform the social strategy and make recommendations for optimising content by channel and audience.
- Photography skills are desirable, with the ability to capture high-quality images on a digital SLR that align with the brand's aesthetic and messaging.
The successful candidate will:
- Have the ability to multi-task under pressure.
- At least 3 years experience working within Social Media.
- A portfolio of previous work to showcase your skills.
- Be confident in working to tight deadlines.
- Consistently present a professional, friendly, caring and can-do attitude.
- Possess a positive service-oriented attitude towards all guests and employees.
- Be able to communicate clearly in the English language.
- Listen attentively to teammates and guests.
- A passion for dogs and mental wellbeing is a must!
It would be great if you have:
- A full clean UK driver's license
- A background or understanding in Marketing
- An understanding of dogs and their needs.
Training provided
