Breeder Account Executive

The foundation of everything we do is built on our relationships with trusted, ethical breeders. As a Paws in Work Breeder Account Executive you will work alongside our existing Breeder Team. You will build and maintain positive relationships with puppy owners and source new litters to take out to play. You’ll also collect the pups, taking them to workplaces and taking them home at the end of the day.

You will use your understanding of marketing and business development to spread awareness of Paws in Work and our dedication to puppy welfare.

The right candidate for this demanding but rewarding role will possess boundless creativity and be able to think outside the box. You will be dog-obsessed like us and have a passion for improving mental health awareness. You’ll have experience handling dogs and will understand the needs of young puppies.

key responsibilities include:

  • Build long-lasting and honest relationships with owners.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and problem solve.
  • Account management, helping to source new litters with reputable breeders.
  • Caring for litters with the highest attention to detail.
  • You must be organised and able to prioritise effectively.
  • An understanding of modern marketing techniques, ways of building new relationships and obtaining referrals.
  • Working across multiple locations in London/Greater London, Monday to Friday.
  • Driving around London in our modified puppy vehicle.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be competent in the handling of puppies and the understanding of their needs.
  • Have experience across business development / sales.
  • Be naturally focused around customer service.
  • Be comfortable working to deadlines and KPIs.
  • Have experience of working closely as a team.
  • Demonstrate responsibility within their current role.
  • Be able to think quickly and calmly under pressure.
  • Be an ‘ideas’ person who can bring creativity to the table.

It would be great if you have:

  • A background of working with animals.
  • Animal-related qualifications.
  • An understanding of animals and their natural behaviour.
  • A passion for working with dogs.
  • A desire to progress.
  • Access to your own vehicle.

Hours

The successful candidate must be able to commit to a full-time position. Working hours will be varied, with a requirement to mainly work ‘split shifts’. (6am - 10am / 3pm-7pm). The needs of the business may require this to change as the role develops. You must be able to attend all events regardless of location, however, you do not require your own vehicle to do so.

Salary

£25,000 Per annum

Travel

We hold events across London in a variety of locations. You will be part of the puppy collection and drop off team, responsible for the safe travel of pups to our event locations. You must be a confident driver and hold a full clean UK driving licence for this position.

Training

We’ll train you alongside our excellent team. You’ll have 3 days in house training with our puppy therapy specialist team, you will be fully inducted and have a chance to shadow others. You’ll also need to complete an online pet first-aid training course within your first 4 weeks which Paws in Work will enrol you onto.

A DBS check is necessary for this role
